Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy’s Rabbis’ Scholar Program

Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is proud to announce the second year of our enhanced Rabbis’ Scholar Program designed to identify and reward outstanding students in area synagogues who would benefit from a stellar Jewish day school education.

Rabbis throughout the tri-state area are invited to nominate as many new 6th grade students and one additional student from any other grade to receive a $5,000 merit-based scholarship to Barrack Hebrew Academy for the first year, followed by $3,600 each succeeding year. Merit-based scholarship funds are made possible by the generosity of The Barrack Foundation.

If families of student awardees qualify for need-based tuition assistance from Barrack Hebrew Academy, the merit scholarship will be awarded in addition to the need-based funds.

To qualify for our Rabbis’ Scholar Program award, nominated students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be new to our school
  • Demonstrate Jewish commitment
  • Show leadership potential
  • Demonstrate interest in Jewish Studies
  • Possess a fine academic record of achievement
  • Complete the application process and be accepted to our school

We invite families to contact their rabbi regarding this exciting opportunity. To discuss details, please contact Vivian Young, Director of Recruitment and Admissions today.
