Jeremiah-Chagall

Tanach 10-1

Welcome to the third trimester.

We will finish our study of the prophet Isaiah, looking at selections from the prophet known as Second Isaiah, chapters 40-66.  After that, we will return to the Book of Kings to study the period of the Babylonian conquest, focusing on Josiah and the finding of a Torah Scroll in the Temple.  This will give us a chance to look at the Source Theory in more detail.  We will then study the Book of Jeremiah, paying close attention to the sections that are autobiographical in nature and explain what it was like for Jeremiah to be a prophet.
