AP Exam:

This course will prepare you to take the Calculus BC Advanced Placement Exam given on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 (morning session).

Syllabus:

This course is a rigorous treatment of the topics of single-variable calculus.  This year we will

complete applications of differentiation including optimization, mean value theorem and

L’Hopitals’s rule and we will begin studying integral calculus: antiderivatives, area under a

curve and between curves, the definite integral,  velocity and acceleration, volumes of solids

of revolution, length of a plane curve, techniques of integration and differential equations. We

end the year studying infinite series, parametric equations, polar coordinates and vector-

             valued functions.
